Laps Analysis

Laps Analysis

The Laps Analysis page allows you to explore all laps from the current session and compare them with the best laps and sectors of the session.

The page is split into two main sections:

  • The left panel displays the lap times, which can be filtered (see Filter Bar below).

  • The right panel has two possible views:

    • Statistics View: Displays various comparison widgets. See details in the Statistics View section.
    • Graph View: Visualizes selected laps to assess consistency and progression.

Filter Bar

Stints

Filters laps from a specific stint only.

Driver

Displays all laps completed by a selected driver (across multiple stints).
If drivers don’t appear correctly, you can manually assign them in the Driver Assignment section of the Stints page — they’ll be reflected here after refresh.

Compare vs

Defines the comparison reference used in the Statistics View widgets:

  • Session Best: Compares each lap and sector against the overall session best (all cars).
  • Class Best: Compares against the best laps/sectors within the same class.
  • Car Best: Compares against the best laps/sectors of the currently selected car.

View

Switches the right panel between the Statistics and Graph views.

Lap Times View (Left Panel)

The Lap Times view is always visible on the left and reflects the current filters (by stint and/or driver).

  • A green lap or sector time indicates the best result within the current filtered selection.
A purple one indicates the overall best for the session (all cars).

  • The State column displays a colored dot:

    • 🟢 Green: Entire lap was under green flag.
    • 🟡 Yellow: Part of the lap was under SC or FCY. You can hover over the dot to see a breakdown of time spent under each track status.
  • The Driver column shows the driver based on the stint data.

Statistics View (Right Panel)

Displays comparison and statistical widgets based on the current filters and comparison mode.

Best Lap Time

Shows the best lap from the current filtered selection, compared to the Session, Class, or Car best — depending on the selected mode.

Best Sectors

Displays the best S1, S2, and S3 from the current selection, compared to the Session, Class, or Car bests — depending on the selected mode.

Average Lap Time

Shows the average lap time of the filtered selection.
If the option “Exclude incidents & in/out laps” is enabled, laps affected by SC, FCY, or marked as IN/OUT laps are excluded from the average.

Best Time per Driver

Lists each driver’s best lap from the current selection.
If drivers are not detected properly, you can manually assign them in the Driver Assignment section of the Stints page. The assignments will appear here after refresh.

Ideal Lap

Displays the ideal lap time, which is the sum of the best sectors (S1 + S2 + S3) from the current selection.

Graph View (Right Panel)

This view plots all filtered laps on a graph, helping visualize consistency and trends.

  • Laps with incidents (FCY, SC, etc.) as well as IN and OUT laps are excluded to keep the graph scale meaningful.
  • The Graph View is most useful when filtered to a specific stint or driver.
