Live Timing
The Live Timing page displays data similar to what you’ll find on the official RIS Timing website. However, the user interface and overall appearance have been completely redesigned to provide a cleaner and more intuitive experience.
Live timing is always tied to the selected session. Changing sessions will update the data accordingly.
Key Features
Highlight Current Car
By checking the box in the top-left corner of your screen, the currently selected car will be visually highlighted in the timing table.
ETA Column
The ETA column functions similarly to the Time Since Last Lap widget in the Dashboard. It shows the time elapsed since the last lap was received for each car.
This helps you estimate where a car is on track, or whether it may have stopped or gone missing.
Note: This timer is based on the last lap received from RIS. If RIS goes offline or stops transmitting temporarily, the counter may become inaccurate until the next lap is received.
Once timing data resumes, the counter will automatically resync.
Online / Offline Indicator
If the software loses connection with RIS during a live session, the indicator in the top-left corner will turn red and show Offline. As soon as the connection is restored, it will turn green again.
If you’re viewing a past or inactive session, seeing “Offline” is expected and does not indicate an issue.
Absolute Best Sectors
Purple sectors displayed above the S1, S2, and S3 columns indicate the absolute best sector times of the session. These are calculated in real-time by the software as new laps are received.
If a lap with a purple sector is invalidated by race control (e.g., due to track limits), the best sector will not be removed from the display — since the software does not have access to that level of control decision.
This limitation does not affect the Best Lap column or the overall purple best lap, which are directly provided by RIS and reflect official race control data.
