Race Planner
The Race Planner lets you build and manage a full race plan with stints, scheduled times, and assigned drivers. You can create multiple plans for a race weekend. These plans are shared across all sessions of the weekend.
You can toggle a Compact View using the switch in the top right corner to display a simplified version showing only drivers and stint times.
Creating a Race Plan
To create a new race plan, click Create Race Plan.
In the popup, enter:
- The plan name (e.g., “Race 1”)
- The average stint duration (in minutes)
- The pit + refueling time (in minutes)
- The race start time
- The total race duration
Once the plan is created, a first stint is automatically added. You can add more stints using the Add Stint button, or remove one using the trash icon in the top-right corner of a stint block.
Using the Planner During a Race
During the race, once a stint has been completed, enter the actual pit out time in the relevant field and click Mark as Done. This will lock the current stint and automatically recalculate all following stint times based on this real pit out time.
You can also reassign drivers between stints using the up/down arrows next to the driver’s name field.
Time Margin Indicator
The Time Margin indicator in the left panel (Plan Information) gives you a quick overview of the time buffer available in your current strategy.
It represents the difference between the official race end time and the planned end time of your final stint.
-
A negative margin means your final stint ends before the race ends — which likely means you’ll need to add one more stint (and a pit stop) to have enough fuel to reach the finish.
-
A positive margin means your final stint ends after the official race end time — meaning your current plan gives you a time buffer. This extra time can be useful for strategy adjustments, such as pitting earlier under FCY or SC.
This indicator is especially helpful when:
- the race has a fixed number of stints, or
- you’re approaching the end of the race and want to validate if your current plan will take you to the finish.
