Stints

The Stints page displays all stints from the start of the session for every car. Cars are listed in their current race ranking. You can navigate through the timeline using the arrow buttons in the top-right corner or by clicking and dragging the timeline itself.

Settings & Filters

Several filters and settings are available at the top of the page:

  • Scale: Adjusts the zoom level of the timeline.
  • Class: Filters the display to only show cars from a selected category.
  • End session: When set, displays a vertical line on the timeline to indicate the end of the session.

Stint Logic

Start and End of a Stint

The first stint begins automatically at the start of the session. A stint ends when an IN lap is received. As soon as a new lap is detected after that, a new stint starts — and so on.

Lap Count

The number of laps is calculated based on IN and OUT laps, which makes it generally reliable.
The only known edge case is if RIS fails to send any data for more than a full lap right at the moment of a pit entry. In that scenario, two stints could be mistakenly merged.

Duration

The duration includes the time spent in the pit lane during the first lap of the stint.
This value should not be used to calculate the driver’s actual driving time.
We plan to add precise PIT IN and PIT OUT timestamps in the future for greater accuracy.

Driver Assignment

The driver shown for each stint is the one reported by RIS Timing at the moment of the OUT lap.

You can manually assign a different driver by clicking on the stint — but only for the currently selected car. It’s not possible to manually change drivers for other teams’ cars.

For privacy reasons, any manual driver changes are only visible to your account. Other teams using the software will continue to see the original driver as reported by RIS.
